This national organization is driven to promote the dignity and self-worth of individuals by promoting self-help and involves the Appalachian people at all social and economic levels in developing solutions to poverty. Originated in 1957 and incorporated in 1964, CAP has a long and proud history of helping Appalachia's poverty stricken and has established ever so many projects, programs and services to do just that.
